Track and Field

A true highlight of any Highland Games, the City of Inverness Highland Games Committee are delighted to be able to welcome back the traditional Track and Field Events to this years’ Games.

Open to all ages and levels of competitor, the Track and Field events are organised by the Athletics representatives of the City of Inverness Highland Games Committee. With Athletic events including 100m and 200m Sprints, Shot Puttt, Long Jump and High Jump, and Heavy events offering Caber, Hammer and Weight for Distance as just some of what will be seen, we cannot wait to see the Bught Park Arena come alive with competition again this July 16th.

For further information on how to take part in this year’s competition, please download the entry from on the link below. All City of Inverness Highland Games Track and Field event related enquiries should be made direct to John Findlayson via the contact details on the form.

ASN Events

The Highland Games also offer ambulant athletes with additional support needs (ASN) the opportunity to experience The Games atmosphere with events over 100m, 200m, and shot putt. The races over 100m and 200m are handicapped to make it more even for the participants and makes it more competitive. Entries will have to be entered in advance so that handicaps can be calculated and anyone interested in taking part should contact Charlie Forbes on email charlie.forbes@highlifehighland.com

Good luck to all track and field athletes! We cannot wait to see you on the day!
