PRICES
Entry Wristbands for the 2011 Inverness Highland Games will cost £6 for adults per day and £3 for Under 18's and Seniors. Under 5's are free.
PLEASE NOTE Wristbands for this event are only available for sale on the day of the Games itself and we urge you to come down to Northern Meeting Park or visit one of our city centre desks to buy yours early in the day. You can come and go as you please throughout the day if you have a wristband so make sure you buy yours early.


HOW LONG DO THE GAMES LAST?
Our Solo Piping Competitions which you can watch for free will start on the lawns of Eden Court Theatre at 10:00.

The Gates to Northern Meeting Park Arena will also open at 10:00 and our Games will start around 11:00 and will last until around 18:00.

Highland Games proceed at their own gentle pace so please note that all times are provisional once we get started.

ANY LOCAL TIPS FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS?
Make sure you buy your wristband early and bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes and dress appropriately for 4 seasons in one afternoon if you don't trust the weather forecasters.

If you are thinking of making a night of it then don't forget to make an booking at one of the many excellent restaurants in Inverness.

Highland Games night is traditionally a popular night in Inverness with a wonderful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.


CAN I ENTER EVENTS ON THE DAY?
Events can be entered on the day up to an hour before they are due to start but obviously we would prefer you to enter as soon as possible. There is an early July cut off point for the provision of a handicap - so those of you planning to run in our handicapped event - please make sure that you get your details into our handicapper as quickly as possible.

The Administration Office for our Games will be located at the Cathedral end of the Arena. Please note that all our Heavy Events have a dress code. You will be expected to wear a kilt and hose and entries will only be accepted from Heavies who can compete safely.

CAR PARKING
Disabled Car Parking is available in the main Highland Council Car Park on Glenurquhart Road immediately next to our site.

There are a number of car parks located in Inverness City Centre but our Main Car Park for this event will be located at Bught Park which is a 10 minute stroll away from Northern Meeting Park.

If possible please car share or leave your car at home.

PHOTOGRAPHY

The Inverness Highland Games are one of the most photographed and filmed events staged in the Highlands each year.

Please note that it is a condition of entry to our event that participants and spectators of all ages agree, or where applicable have their parents or guardians permission, to be photographed or filmed.

DOGS
Dogs are welcome to our Games but must be kept on a leash at all times and be connected to a considerate owner in possession of a pooper scooper and a bag!
